ARE YOU PART OF AN ILLINOIS STATE LEGACY FAMILY?
Did your parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, and who knows else graduate from Illinois State (or Illinois State Normal University)? If you're part of what's known as a "legacy family," we'd like to hear your stories and see your pictures! As you may know, we publish a legacy family photo in each issue of the ILLINOIS STATE alumni magazine. Get the family together over the holidays all decked out in Illinois State clothing, or create a pose that reflects your Illinois State pride, and then send your legacy family photo to assistant director Susan Callahan in Alumni Services, Campus Box 3100, Normal, IL 61790-3100.
(Note: Only photo prints can be used for the magazine -- not digital images. You are welcome to send scans by E-mail as a preview. Photo prints will be returned.)

THE PANTAGRAPH IS LOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD ALUMNI. . .
Kelly (Lantau) Josephsen '99, a former VIDETTE editor, is now the Illinois State University "beat" reporter for THE PANTAGRAPH newspaper in Bloomington. She's currently working on a story about what alumni remember from their days at good old ISU and would especially like to hear from some alumni who have moved far away from McLean County, Illinois. Would you like to tell Kelly your story? If so, please e-mail her at .

INTRODUCING: ASK ALUMNI SERVICES (AND GET AN ANSWER)
This will become a regular feature of the E-LUMNI NEWS. . . your opportunity to ask a question and get an answer. We're looking for items that you think may be of interest to ALL alumni who read this (and we'll try to answer individual queries as well). To begin, we'll provide a couple of samples:

QUESTION: Some time ago I filled out a survey for an alumni directory and sent in my order for one of the books and CD-ROMs. I haven't received
anything yet. What gives?
- Jane Q. Alumna, Bedford Falls, Illinois

ANSWER: This one's easy for us to answer, Jane. After a lot of hard work entering all the data you and most of your fellow 148,426 alumni sent us, we sent the data off to our publishing company in mid-October. The book and CD-ROM are in production and should be delivered in February.
Thanks, alumni, for the great response!

QUESTION: How do I get a copy of my transcript?
- John Alumnus, West Suburb, Illinois

ANSWER: A great question, John -- one we get quite often! Fortunately the Registrar's office provides an excellent summary explanation on their Web site, and we've made it a regular link on the Alumni Services site.
Check it out at www.registrar.ilstu.edu/students/current/transcripts/.
