Chapters/Clubs
Wherever you live now, or whatever interests you remember when you think of Illinois State, we hope you will find ways to get involved with Alumni Association. One way to get involved is by becoming active with an alumni chapter, affinity club or regional group.
Goals of alumni chapters and affinity clubs
- Establish and maintain closer contact between Illinois State University and its alumni and friends
- Advance the interests and welfare of the University and today's students
- Perform a public relations role in a community or within industries or professions
- Provide a variety of opportunities and direct benefits to alumni
Programs and activities offered
The groups strive to offer a diverse set of activities and programs, in an effort to appeal to a wide variety of interests. Typically, programming falls under one of the four following categories:
- Educational events (University speaker or successful alum)
- University programs (Redbird athletics, fine arts performance, student-focused activities)
- Social (Professional sporting events, community cultural events and networking opportunities)
- Service (Service to the University, community service and fund-raising for the University and/or scholarships)
