Student Alumni Council/Marion H. Dean Legacy Scholarship

The Illinois State University Student Alumni Council offers three $1,000 scholarships to sons and daughters of Illinois State alumni. This non-renewable scholarship was made possible by a donation from the family of Marion H. Dean, Class of 1927, and continuous contributions from Student Alumni Council and the Illinois State University Alumni Association.

The purposes of the scholarship are to help ease the strain of college expenses, reward an accomplished student, and recognize legacy families for continuing the Illinois State tradition.

The Student Alumni Council/Marion H. Dean Legacy Scholarship is based on:

  • scholarship achievement
  • leadership ability
  • services to community
  • parental influence in enrolling at Illinois State University
  • potential as a future alumni leader

Candidates for the Student Alumni Council/Marion H. Dean Legacy Scholarship must be enrolled at Illinois State University and be the sons or daughters of at least one Illinois State University graduate. The scholarship may only be awarded once per recipient.
